Greteman Group Adds Experienced Aviation Writer

WICHITA, Kansas – Greteman Group’s team of creative writers, designers and professionals share a passion for aviation and a knowledge of what moves people within the industry. The aviation-focused marketing agency announces that Rebecca Groom – a private pilot, marketer and writer – will add to that collective experience as its newest writer/editor.

Groom grew up in an aviation family, but hadn’t considered it for a career until she learned to fly during college. She gained marketing experience directly with Piper Aircraft then worked in an advertising agency. Most recently, she has been immersed in aviation media, serving as editor-in-chief for Twin & Turbine Magazine for five years.

“Rebecca has the unique insight and creative thinking to communicate and engage with aviation people and pilots – because she is one,” says Josh Wood, vice president, who heads Greteman Group’s content team. “She’s able to speak the language, and understand the goals and perspectives of aviation clients and media to execute strategic and impactful copy skillfully.”

For Piper, she performed extensive market research and extended support across tradeshows, engaging directly with customers and dealers, while also experiencing the industry’s biggest events such as NBAA-BACE, EAA AirVenture and Sun ’n Fun.

During her previous agency experience, Groom worked with major engine and aircraft manufacturers, and led the team’s press relations and social media jobs. She also marketed a fundraising campaign to help return the Wichita-restored B-29 Superfortress “Doc” into the air and through flight test. At Twin & Turbine, she modernized both the magazine and website, integrating fresh perspectives while overseeing all magazine editorial and design.

“Greteman Group has been on my radar for years with their aviation expertise and marketing portfolio,” says Groom. “I am excited to bring my aligned passion and experience and continue telling compelling stories about the amazing aircraft that enhance and empower our lives every day.”
