Marc’s Picks for Final Friday – March 2010

Here’s my pick for this month’s Final Friday.

Lee Shiney at The Art of Healing

Lee Shiney has found a good use for all those art magazines that he’s subscribed to over the years: He’s making art out of them. “Old News: Experimental Works on Paper,” will showcase new paintings that include shredded bits of old art magazines layered over newspapers, topped off with Lee’s trademark concentric circles.

The Art of Healing
130 N. St. Francis
7–10 p.m.

Countdown and Kudos

As the tenth annual EBACE approaches, we have to pause in our client tradeshow preparations long enough to acknowledge this significant milestone.

Congratulations to the visionaries who realized Europe’s corporate aviation industry could sustain its own annual convention. And that it could draw from other parts of the globe as well.

Come May 4-6 all eyes will be on Geneva Palexpo and the Geneva International Airport, just a short walk away. Last year the buying mood of the roughly 11,000 attendees was a nervous, wait-and-see. We’re hoping that sentiment changes with increased confidence and demand.

Keep up on the news by following the convention on Twitter #EBACE2010. Can’t you just taste the raclette and fondue?
