ROLE-SPECIFIC DUTIES

Provides strategy, oversight and implementation of client media relations efforts including, but not limited to: press releases, press conferences, outlet research, direct pitching to traditional and non-traditional media outlets

Manages multiple projects simultaneously. Keeps apprised of clients’ projects and ensures they proceed according to plan and deadlines. Meets regularly with the creative director, resourcing, public relations AE and digital director to coordinate agency efforts. Checks and approves creative, production art and coordinates client approval.

Stays abreast of clients’ products, services, news, organizational changes and milestones. Seeks opportunities for client media interactions and exposure.

Attends trade shows and events on behalf of client. Provides onsite support for booth build, booth staffing and media relations.

Develops shared content strategy. Collaborates with social media coordinator to deploy paid and organic social media efforts. Provides social media support (copywriting, engagement, etc.) as needed

Coordinates with client partners and stakeholders to support cobranded marketing efforts

Monthly budget reconciliation. Provide strategic guidance to maximize efforts and budgets

GENERAL DUTIES

Ensures that client needs are being met by building relationships through personal interaction. Offering ideas, tactics, advice and strategy where appropriate. Suggesting analytics and ways ROI will be measured.

Handles daily contact between the agency and assigned client accounts.

Prepares creative briefs, and clearly defines project scope, expectations and desired outcomes to agency personnel. Organizes and facilitates in-person kick-off meetings on all new projects. Quickly and accurately relays client change orders to all appropriate personnel.

Assists with agency presentations. Prepares agendas, presentation decks and other correspondence as needed. Attends meetings, runs presentations and serves as scribe for meeting minutes.

Maintains meeting and client notes, which accurately describe action items and important information involved with the account.

Responsible for growth and overall profitability of the account. Reviews client estimates and change orders. Assists in the timely preparation of client billing/invoices.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree, 1-3 years’ experience with media relations and digital marketing (paid, owned, shared and earned media). Previous work experience in aviation, or autonomy, UAS, drones, emerging tech.

Digital Expertise: Proven acumen with websites, social media and interactive marketing (paid and earned). Familiar with WordPress; Google Analytics; organic social; social media management tools like Sprout Social and Hootsuite; media tracking through tools like MuckRack or Cision; email marketing tools like MailChimp and Campaign Monitor.

Travel: Attend trade shows or client meetings as necessary. Generally 2-4 times per year

Natural Organizer: Fluent in (or dives in and learns) presentation and organizational tools such as Google Docs, Google Slides, PowerPoint and Excel.

Communicator: Simplifier and excellent conveyer of complicated information, verbally and in writing (press releases, social media, meeting action items).

Team Player: Proactive, solutions orientation who plays well with others and displays the highest levels of professional integrity and confidentiality.

Igniter with Initiative: High-energy igniter who is self-driven and strives to do better personally and helps the agency do better, too.

Innovator: Strategic in thinking things through and connecting the dots. Sees the forest, not just the trees.

Physical: Ability to focus for sustained periods, use computer for data entry, talk to clients on the phone, perform repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement, occasionally move objects up to 15 pounds, and see clearly at 20 inches or less. (Weren’t expecting that specificity, were you?)
