Don’t let her compact size fool you. Shelley Straub is a petite powerhouse.

She’s tenacious, detail-oriented, and won’t let go of a challenge until she’s beaten it into submission. Hey, we told you she was a powerhouse.

She’s definitely an achiever, which is why she’s right at home at Greteman Group.

Shelley was a founder of Wichita State University's Public Relations Student Society of America chapter and served as its first president. She was editor-in-chief of the college newspaper and won second place for feature writing in the Kansas Scholastic Press Association's state journalism competition.

Shelley went on to graduate summa cum laude and received the Outstanding Integrated Marketing Communications Graduate honor from WSU’s Elliott School of Communication.

She built real-world experience as an intern for the Kansas Health Foundation (a longtime Greteman Group client) and then the Wichita Public Schools’ marketing and communications department. After graduation, she managed a myriad of community-relations initiatives for Cox Communications in Wichita.

At Greteman Group, Shelley is on top of every detail for her clients, whether it’s working on a multi-million dollar proposal to the State of Kansas, using her beyond-her-years’ people skills to forge valuable relationships with the media or burning the midnight oil putting the finishing touches on a PR plan.

It certainly helps that she’s fast on her feet. Trust us, this girl packs a wallop. Professionally, of course. Maybe personally, too. She’s a self-confessed football fanatic and outdoor adventuress. She shares her home with a dog named Doogie, two cats (Buddah and Baby), and a chicken named Bess.

Yes, a chicken. Which will come in handy as she helps manage the Kansas State Fair account!
